We are MOTÖRBREATH...             and we play Rock n' Roll

MOTÖRBREATH was founded in 2003 by bass player Frank Helbig, guitarist Stefan Hoppe and drummer Dirk Schaper. After a short period of practicing in their rehearsal room, the Heissmangel in Schwarme, they soon celebrated their first gig. Songs like Pädophiler, Nekrophiler Sodomist, from their self-titled first album, became very pouplar. So the band started touring all over Europe, where they played sold out shows in the biggest stadiums. They also headlined festivals like Roskilde, Rock am Ring or Download.

Soon Europe was not enough for the young band and so they started entering the United States, where they produced their second album RIFFTOC with the legendary Rick Rubin, who later said "Forget Metallica, MOTÖRBREATH is the future of Heavy Metal!" As anticipated the ablum entered the No. 1 position of the album charts after the first week of its publishing and stayed there for over 10 months. The band played the biggest festivals in the U.S. and also won different Grammys and other awards. Their praised band-documentary Some Kind of Bockwurst was nominated for the Oscar for the best movie. After being introduced into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 by Led Zeppelin MOTÖRBREATH became tired of the success and all the groupies and so they decited to split the band, because there was nothing to achieve for them anymore.

But in 2013, they decited to come back and play a one night only show to celebrate their 10th anniversary! The Singer Danie Helbig joined the Band in spring 2013. With her powerful voice they found new energy for their own Festival, the MOTÖRFEST, which premiered in September 2013. After they played the sold out MOTÖRFEST they decided to move on and practice for the next MOTÖRFEST in the near future.

That's their story so far...
